SUPERSTITION — a new work for Roomful of Teeth
The new work-in-progress is called Superstition, composed for the great Roomful of Teeth setting of Amy Lowell's 1919 poem of the same name. Roomful of Teeth performed another new work — a setting of W.H. Auden called I only play composed to celebrate Claire Chase's 2017 Avery Fisher Prize — in the Rose Building, Lincoln Center, New York on 13 June 2017. In December 2016, they joined Claire Chase for two nights at The Kitchen in Chelsea for the premiere performances of Another Woman of Another Kind, commissioned by Claire Chase and the Pnea Foundation for Density 2036; part iv.
new series of works for Neil Heyde — Digital Memory and the Archive
a new collection of pieces for solo cello, composed for Neil Heyde of Royal Academy of Music, London. Works include Bacchante (2015, premiered at Wilton's Hall, London, on 7 December 2015) and You know I'm yours (2015-16, performed in China at the Tianjin Conservatory of Music, 18 October 2016), and the most recent addition: Nachzeichnen/Tracing (2017).
